Director
Dr Elizabeth Elliott is an Associate Professor in the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health at the University of Sydney and a consultant paediatrician at The Children's Hospital at Westmead. She founded the APSU in 1993 and has been the director since then. Elizabeth was recently appointed as Head of the International Network of Paediatric Surveillance Units.
Assistant Director (Scientific)
Dr Greta Ridley has a PHD in Physiology and has completed a course in epidemiology. Greta assists in the managing of the Unit and is involved in the assessment and development of new studies in the APSU. Greta is currently an associate investigator on two APSU studies: Hospitalised Pertussis in Infancy and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.
Assistant Director (Medical)
Dr Anne Morris assists in the managing of the Unit and in the development and assessment of new studies in the APSU. Anne has a Masters in Public Health. She is an associate investigator on the Hospitalised Pertussis in Infancy study, the Fetal Alcohol Syndrome study and the Conversion Disorders study.
Scientific Officer
Mrs Diane Redmond enters all data including email reporting, notifications of cases, statistical analysis, response rates and other research related tasks. Diane is also an investigator of the HUS study.
Desktop Publisher/Information Technology Administration
Ms Gabrielle Williams is the information technology manager for the unit. Gabrielle is responsible for desktop publishing and design material and is also the webmaster for the APSU.
Database Manager/Administration
Ms Jenny Fowler maintains and updates the APSU database, which has over 1000 active members. Jenny is also responsible for the mailing out of cards through post and email services, as well as other administrative tasks.
